100% Pure Review: Healthy Skin Foundation With Super Fruits

Item: Healthy Skin Foundation With Super Fruits

Full Coverage/Satin Finish

Size: 1oz bottle (30ml)

Cost: $35.00 (US) ***as of June 2014

It comes in seven different colors (as with most of their fruit pigmented face makeup).

Review:

Perks: SPF 20, antioxidant super fruits, vitamins, free from synthetic dyes, feels light on the face

Cons: Expensive, formula dries too quickly, can come off streaky and cakey, no satin finish

I decided one day that I needed a full coverage liquid foundation because I never used one before. I bought the peach bisque as it is my color in my other 100% Pure face products such as the powder and the tinted moisturizer and their two different concealers. All very lovely products by the way.

Here is what I got in the mail. My first thoughts was: wow the container looks like a mini version of the tinted moisturizer. I push about two pumps out and dab spots on my face to get even coverage and I rub it all over my face. Mind you, I did wash my face prior and apply primer and moisturizer. The foundation came out streaky and dried too quickly. I thought well maybe I didn't apply it right the first time or didn't put enough product. After a few days in a row and trying it with different combinations with or without moisturizer or primer or with  more pumps or less, it still came out the same way. I can tell the product is amazing but it didn't look right on my face and then I had to top it off with powder on top to cover up the streaks. I decided to go back to my old routine of using primer, tinted moisturizer and powder. I found by accident though to use this foundation as a concealer instead and it worked out perfectly. This product actually works better than my concealer at covering pimples and scars which only covers it semi.

I love all of 100% Pure products and they all work out for me except for this product. Looking at the brightside, I found it to be a really good concealer though and I'm kind of glad because then I can use this instead as my concealer since it works better anyways and I get more bang for my buck. :)

Would I recommend this foundation to a friend? I probably would recommend something else instead like getting their tinted moisturizer which works better with powder or to try out their new hydrating foundation. I haven't tried that hydrating one yet so if I get that, I'll make sure to do a review.

Love you all my bonbons. Hope this helped! XOXO

June: New Hair & Makeup

So I decided to do a curly hairdo for my night out:

It was really easy but it was time consuming as I have tons of thick hair. Great combination! I used a curling iron and I did burn myself a few times. Ouchies! I want to do the no heat method as there are so many different videos on this method. I rather do it naturally anyways without damaging my hair.

Makeup: I tried to keep it simple. Primer, foundation, concealer, eyeshadow, eyeliner, blush....
I used the 100% Pure cosmetics brand. This is my absolute favorite brand of makeup. I haven't tried anything else yet.
UPDATE: 100% Healthy Foundation in Medium or AKA Peach Bisque. I prefer to use this as a concealer rather than a foundation because it builds up and dries too fast and it looks streaky and cakey. It's not a natural look. Trust me! I dab it as a concealer and it's absolutely perfect!! Cause you can build it up on top and it dries quickly and covers very very well. Probably much better than the regular concealer.

Last Week Of June Update

Happy last day of June everyone!

I can't believe how fast time is flying. Summer will be over soon and I don't want to think about it. Wahhhhhhh~ Lol.

My recent buys include: baking soda, washing soda, honey, lemons, wax strips, razors, and a curling iron. I usually buy these items online but I needed these in a hurry at the closest store.

My recent smoothie I've been making: mango and banana smoothie in orange juice base. This is sooooo yummy!

Before I went to go to my dentist I went to go get some Korean food. I got the salted mackerel. I love fish with the passion! It probably wasn't a good idea to get all this stuff in my teeth before seeing my hygienist lol.

One of my absolute favorite things to do on Thursday nights is go to the salad bar for dinner and pig out! OINK OINK!

I was eyeing these patties while shopping... DROOOOOOLS ^^

I've been doing weight workouts for my butt and thighs and needed some weights and these were perfect. I'm moving on up!! YAY!

I made dinner. I sauteed shrimp, collard greens, mushroom, tomato, garlic, onion...I ate all of it. It was so good.

Funny thing today: I haven't been to my parent's backyard in a very long time. My parent's have some "mad" gardening skills (hint of sarcasm). When the hell did we get corn stalks????!!!!! Lol!

How is everyone's summer going???

I miss you and love you all! <3 p="">

100% Pure Cosmetic Buy: Gift, Samples, Foundation

I've been running out of my favorite makeup 100% Pure. My foundation powder and concealer was running low so I decided to make a purchase.

This Healthy Foundation is completely new to me. It was the most pricey out of the items I bought. I tried it on and it was okay. It's the first day so I'm still trying it out. I'll do another review again. Overall, it's a good foundation.

This is the size of the foundation compared to the tinted moisturizer. I usually apply primer then the tinted moisturizer and then top it off with the foundation powder. I'm going to try the Healthy Foundation liquid and see if that will work well without the tinted moisturizer or powder.

I also got the Long Last Concealer. This is another new item for me. I bought the Everywhere concealer from 100% Pure before. It's pretty good but I wanted to try this one out. It's not as liquid consistent as the Everywhere concealer. The staying power is much better though as it's less likely to come off and it's water resistant. It's not as liquid or versatile as the Everywhere concealer. I might need both items to cater to different needs.

I also got a free gift with my purchase since it was over 35 dollars. :)

The bag is sooooo cute! I love pink anything. I got their luminous primer which I usually use under my foundation. I also got their lip and cheek tint in Cherry color. It's very bright and happy. I'll have to do a demo or something. I also got their illuminator but I have collected 3 of these already. I don't use luminating powder ever. I usually contour with blushes or bronzers. I also got their Perfect Pink Lip Creamstick.

The color is a bit bright for me but it's really adorable. I would probably wear this on special occasions as I'm not a huge lipstick person. I prefer nude lipstick colors with nude lip gloss. I LOVE NUDE! :)

I forgot to mention a small sample of their lovely mascara. I compared to their full size mascara below. I'm glad I got a sample size because I ran out of my full size one already!!! D=

THE END.

Thursday Date Night: Maca Powder & Protein Smoothie

Hello my bonbon BEAAAUUUTY-FULS!

I missed you all!

I had a lovely date with my favorite person in the world: my mother!

We headed to Wholefoods for a huge dinner at the salad bar.

You can't see it but I had so much more food underneath all that. Lol! I'm a piggy for healthy food! Oink!

Here are  my major buys:

Nutiva brand hemp protein
Wholefoods brand of fish oil
Navitas brand of Maca powder

I picked the hemp protein over other protein because it had no sodium. The other brands were much more expensive and contained sodium.

I read online that maca powder is good for energy. Maca is part of the radish family grown in the high altitudes of Peruvian mountains. It is dubbed as the "Peruvian ginseng." It is great for anemia (which I don't have enough iron intake).

"When used in conjunction with a good workout regime you will notice an increase in muscle mass."
This is my main reason why I got maca powder since I wanted to gain more muscle mass in my butt and thighs. I didn't realize there was so many other health benefits such as vitamins, minerals, amino acids, women's health, anemia, mood problems, sexual drive, energy, skin, and general health. You can read more on http://www.vegkitchen.com/nutrition/7-top-health-benefits-of-maca/
When I opened the bag it had a lovely sweet smell to it. They describe it online like butterscotch and now that I think about it...it does smell like butterscotch. I'm completely swayed lol.

Here is what the hemp protein looks like. It's very pretty...

You can make a simple smoothie which I did. I added an organic banana, organic soy milk, a tablespoon of maca powder, two tablespoons of raw cacao powder, and 3 tablespoons of hemp protein powder. This was really yummy!

Time to work out now. See you in another post my lovely princesses and princes. :)

Hugs!

How To Make Your Butt Bigger Naturally

Today's topic is an interesting one as I noticed that there are many ladies like myself that want to make their booty bigger.

Yes I said it.

Of course, I have to post a photo of Kim Kardashian's behind because we all know that she is notorious for that. Personally, I've always had a flat butt since I was little. I envied all the girls in my school who had voluptuous bodies. They had curves, butt, and the boobs! I felt completely hopeless. I waited thinking I was going to get the body that I wanted but it never happened. I had never dated a guy until my early twenties(not that it's a bad thing because I'm kind of glad I started later). But for those of you who are little ducklings that are still growing into your beauty shell. Have no fear! There is a way to get a thinner waist and a bigger butt.

As for the boobs, I'm sorry... (Mine are small but I don't think there is anything I could do about that)

If you are a teen then you're body is going to go through a lot of changes during this time and it still has time to grow into it's full shape. That doesn't mean you can't work out and stay fit and healthy.

These are all natural and healthy tips to make your bottom bigger through diet and exericse. I must warn you that you must be patient and consistent. This will not happen over night. If you try to do at least 30 minutes a day every single day. I promise you will see results.

My tips:

I've done so much research on butt workouts. A lot of them do work because I've been doing combinations of so many different videos. My butt got slightly bigger and it's only been a couple of weeks. The more intense booty workouts include the brazilian butt lifts. You don't have to go buy any DVDs or anything as there are tons of Youtube videos that contain free information. YAY YOUTUBE! Overall, I can't believe it is actually working and I was so excited that I wanted to share with you all on my tips I've consolidated. They're not hard at all. They're super easy and you can do them at home.

1. Warm up before any workout: I usually do 15 minutes of stretching my legs before working out to prevent any unnecessary damage to my muscles.

2. Squats: There are all kinds. The easiest one and the one that I see is most consistent in most people's videos are the sumo squats. Of course, you want to do different kinds of squats since there are different types of butt muscles. You don't want to just work out one part then you're behind is going to look incomplete.

3. Eat right: Make sure you're eating healthy.  Increase your intake of fruits and vegetables. I drink lots of smoothies. Also, don't forget this important part! Increase your protein intake (make sure your protein is grilled and not fried). Increase your carb intake. Your body needs both carbs and protein to increase the size in your butt. Lastly, don't forget the fat intake. You need be careful with this part because you have to go after the good fatty oils such as fish oils and plant oils. Other oils such as butter, lard, fried foods are a big NO NO for this type of regimen or for anybody. They're unhealthy for you for any diet type because they are LDL (low-density-lipoprotein). These are bad cholesterol and can increase your risk for heart attack or stroke. Make sure you look for HDL (high-density-lipoprotein). These guys contain more protein than fat as a molecule so they're much better for you health-wise.

4. Take supplements: Omega 3's; 6's and MACA powder are great additional supplements to this workout regimen. Make sure to get a good quality supplement. Check out Wholefoods or Central Market. Natural grocery stores have great quality supplements without the nasty fillers. The maca powder contains carbs which will help give you energy and increase your behind size!

5. After the basics, hit the advanced! I only do these workout regimen for about 30 minutes to an hour a day. I plan to get a yoga mat and some weights to make it more challenging.

6. Look up brazilian butt workouts. They're super intense and they burn but that's a great thing! I really enjoy these videos and you really feel great after doing these.

The Original Donut Shop K-Cup, Keurig

So I walk into Starbucks and of course the place always smells great. Hint: the wonderful and addicting smell of coffee, that is.

The lady or gentleman asks, "good morning! What can I get for you?"

My usual answer, "Good morning, how are ya? I would like a Venti Blonde no room, please."

I've been checking on my bank account lately and I noticed that most of my money is spent on Starbucks and Wholefoods. Yikes! Despite that the cup of coffee I order is only 2.50 a cup it has been adding up! I hardly spend my money elsewhere unless it's on school or bills.

I'm disappointed at myself. *bangs my head on the desk*

I shouldn't be so hard on myself though.

I decided to get back on track on saving money again. I used to be so good but I've been breaking lately. I go on Amazon and decided to order in bulk. The Donut Shop coffee in K-cups. Have you guys heard of it?

A box of 50 cups is about 27 or 28 dollars without shipping and taxes. It's not a bad deal considering each cup costs me 56 cents a cup. I just received mine in the mail yesterday and it came in really quickly! I think it was only like a couple days. Amazing service from Amazon. Click here for the link.
Keep in mind that this is for the  Keurig K cups.

I love the quality of the coffee (Arabica beans)and it's comparable to Starbucks and that means something since I am very very picky about coffee.

What are your favorite flavors or types of coffee?

Morning Rant: It's Already June?!

Time really flies.

I keep losing track of what day, month, and sometimes year. Yes, I asked someone what year it was. I don't even pay attention anymore. I don't care... lol

but...

Happy month of June everyone!

I got up this morning and took a shower. I don't wash my hair everyday though. I don't want to dry my scalp out so I do it every other day.

I made my goji berry, acai, beets, and raspberry smoothie this morning. Drools! I scrambled 3 eggs and ate two little things of garlic. I know the garlic sounds gross... but garlic has a lot of health benefits. It's a natural antibiotic for one and it's a heart healthy food. There are plenty more benefits which I'll do another post about.

I'm having another smoothie. :) My heart is content.

Maybe not. I want to make some mango smoothie. My mom bought a boxful of mangos that was worth 9 or 10 dollars. It's super ripe and ready to eat!

Reminder: I need to buy tons of soymilk pronto. I get most of my protein from eggs and soy... I'm doing more running and workouts and I'm not increasing my intake so I need to work on this area of my diet. =O

And I need to get more vegetables. I ate it all too quickly over the past couple days. I wish vegetables wouldn't spoil so quickly.

I have to get ready for work soon and I'll do my workout tonight.

I also have to get up early for school tomorrow and then work after that. Cheers! I know most people are in the same boat so I believe in us. We can do this, guys!
