Cacao Powder Face Mask

Hey cuties~ Sorry it's been a while since my last post. I've been super busy with finals this past week! Pulls hair! >.<;;;;; But at least today is the last day and I wanted to celebrate with you guys great natural beauty mask for glowing skin that is uber delicious! You can get soft, glowing, hydrated skin with cacao powder as this will gently exfoliate and clear up the skin naturally. This is super easy to make at home and you use all the ingredients as well in your food and drinks!

(Sorry for the messy photo heh)

Gather your Ingredients:

Raw Cacao Powder - Get a good quality raw cacao powder. Hershey's brand doesn't count, lol. I use the Navitas brand Organic Raw Cacao Powder - You can get this at Amazon.com Click here for the link. I actually got one packet of 8 oz at Sprouts for a little over 8 US dollars including tax. It's 100% pure cacao powder that is USDA certified organic, kosher, non-gmo, vegan, gluten-free, and raw. This raw cacao (chocolate) powder is not sweet since it contains 0 grams of sugar!! Rich in anti-oxidants, minerals, polyphenols, and good source of fiber. Great for smoothies, desserts, baking, sauces, and spreads.

Raw Honey - I use the Raw unfiltered organic honey that I get from Sprouts which is about 9.99 US dollars - this is my medicine for the skin. Honey naturally heals and help with acne, eczema, rosacea, hyperpigmentation, and dull skin.

Soy milk - Silk soy milk - naturally improves texture, gently exfoliates, moisturizes, and softens skin. (regular milk, almond milk, rice milk should work just as great~)

Banana - rich in vitamins and nutrients. Naturally softens skin, anti-bacterial which helps cure acne.

Oatmeal Powder - I ground mine up from the Red Mill brand of organic rolled oats- this will help thicken the mask. Oatmeal is great because it's great for any skin type. This is especially great for sensitive skin types dealing with rosacea, eczema, and acne because it's a natural ant-inflammatory. This is ultra healing and cleansing. Oatmeal contains saponins, cleaning agent, works as a great natural cleanser. Oatmeal also gently exfoliates and is awesome for aging skin! ***If you don't have this then that's okay. It's great if you have it or if you have oats then try to grind it up if you can. This is optional as I know everybody does not has access to it***

Precaution: Make sure you look at all ingredients and make sure you're not allergic. Always test out a small space of skin before applying to entire face.

Grab your cacao powder!

Put a spoonful (or teaspoonful) of raw cacao powder into a bowl or cup

Grab your oatmeal powder.

Put in a spoonful (1 teaspoonful) of oatmeal powder into the cup

Cut a piece of banana and put it into the cup as well. Eat the rest~ :) It's good for you!

1 spoonful (or teaspoonful) of honey.

Into the cup...

Don't forget that soy milk! Pour maybe about 3 to 4 teaspoonful. Adjust accordingly. Keep it thick and not runny.

Mix mix mix!

Tada! All done. Make sure to clean hands and face before applying.

I used my hands to apply all over my face. If you don't want to contaminate it then you can use a spoon or brush. Let it sit for about 15 minutes or until dry. Smells sooooo yummy yummy yummy~~~~~~! Try not to eat it off your face as it's soooo tempting!!! =D

EXTRA TIP: While you are waiting on your perfect glowing skin you can make yourself a smoothie or chocolate drink. I put two teaspoons of cacao powder and 1 teaspoon of honey into a cup and mix well. Pour in the milk and mix very well. Drink up! Prevent those free radicals and it's super nutritious and delicious~ =^___^=

Rinse off with luke warm water and make sure you get it ALL OFF. Don't forget to rinse off with cold water afterwards to tighten those pores. Feel that soft baby skin!! I would do this once or twice a week for the good exfoliation. Save any leftovers (if you have any) in the fridge.
